Smart Merchants is an electrical wholesale business operating from multiple locations across Hertfordshire, serving customers locally and nationally. It forms part of Hunloke Investment Group’s trade counter portfolio and is a member of the Fegime buying group.

Investment in management and a targeted growth strategy have supported strong year-on-year growth. Further investment in people, vehicles and marketing is planned to support the next phase of development.

A1 operates within Hunloke Investment Group’s trade counter and building materials portfolio, serving a range of trades across the west coast of Scotland. The business fulfils several local authority contracts and is a member of the NMBS buying group.

Following the sellers’ transition period, Hunloke Investment Group has supported the appointment of a new General Manager, strengthened the sales team and invested in updating delivery vehicles. Work is also underway to streamline operations and broaden the offering within selected product categories. A further local authority contract has been secured, while opportunities for additional sites are being explored to support future growth.

GEMS is a fabrication and engineering business based in Scotland’s central belt, serving blue-chip clients with national reach. It forms part of Hunloke Investment Group’s engineering portfolio.

Hunloke Investment Group has supported the strengthening of the operational team and management, alongside investment in new CNC machinery. The business is developing its customer base and has secured a local authority contract, with further investment in its capabilities planned.
